The GREEKC COST Action (https://www.greekc.org/activity/cambridge-workshop/) aims to develop one standardised “Gene Regulation Knowledge Commons” (GRKC) for the Life Sciences. The GREEKC workshop will target the following topics:

  1. Provide an overview of the targets and results of the GREEKC COST Action
  2. Discuss surveys and preliminary results on topics related to Biocuration:
    1. Ontologies, knowledge representation formats and curation tools: what works and what doesn’t
    2. Curation guidelines, do’s and don’ts, survey of current activities
    3. Text mining and triage in curation workflows: current examples and the way forward
    4. Upload mechanisms for established databases: data exchange formats, CausalTAB and PSICQUIC updates as a step towards supporting causality
Broad feedback on these issues will be essential for GREEKC to establish broad stakeholder support.
  3. Contribute to a white paper.

This workshop will merge with the IMEx workshop to discuss transcription factor-gene interactions
